NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Nashville Predators have acquired goaltender Connor Ingram from the Tampa Bay Lightning for their seventh-round pick in the 2021 NHL draft. Originally was the 88th pick overall in the third round in 2016, the native of Imperial, Saskatchewan, appeared in 35 games this season with the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch and the Orlando Solar Bears in the ECHL. He finished the season with Orlando where he was 8-2-0 in 13 regular season games.

BRISTOL, Tenn. (AP) — John Force topped Funny Car qualifying in the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway. The 70-year-old Force had a 3.911-second run at 326.95 mph in a Chevrolet Camaro SS in the second session.

UNDATED (AP) — Murray State’s Ja Morant, Vanderbilt’s Darius Garland and North Carolina’s Coby White headline the list of top point guards in the NBA draft. Morant dominated the mid-major ranks last season as a sophomore, while White blossomed into a one-and-done prospect while leading the Tar Heels. Garland offers more uncertainty after appearing in just five college games due to injury. Other names to watch in Thursday’s draft include Purdue’s Carsen Edwards and Virginia’s Ty Jerome.

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Arkansas has tried to move on from the foul ball that dropped and cost the Razorbacks the national championship last year. The Razorbacks have returned to the College World Series and will open Saturday night against Florida State. Pitcher Isaiah Campbell said it left some of his teammates with a sense of unfinished business. The CWS opens Saturday afternoon with Michigan playing Texas Tech. Sunday games pit Louisville against Vanderbilt and Auburn against Mississippi State.
