Arrangements released for 10-year-old girl killed in alleged DUI crash

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Family members have anounced funeral arrangements for the 10-year-old girl that was killed in a crash allegedly caused by a drunk driver.

Authorities said Alexia Gomez Hernandez, 10, was among four children and two adults in vehicle that was struck about 3 a.m. at the intersection of Lansdowne and Tates Creek Road. Her cause of death was listed as blunt force trauma.

The driver of the other vehicle, Sequoyah Collins, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

Memorial services will be held at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary located at 601 Hill N Dale Rd on Wednesday July 17. Mass will take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and visitation will follow from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The family has asked all guests that attend wear white in honor of Alexia.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to their gofundme page to help with burial expenses.
