LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — An arrest has been made after a shooting that happened near The Fox Club, but the suspect claimed to have nothing to do with the shooting.

The incident happened on June 23. Police were called to the Fox Club due to reports of unrest inside and outside of the bar.

When at The Fox Club, numerous shots were fired on Hillcrest Avenue nearby.

A woman and minor were injured in the shooting.

Police found a car that had been shot several times in the middle of the road, still running.

Raekwon Burse, 23, reportedly showed up later saying the car belonged to him and he took off running when the shooting started.

Police followed the path that they believed Burse took and found a stolen gun, a set of digital scales and 53 grams of cocaine in a plastic bag.

Police accused Burse of ditching the items when police arrived.

Burse has not been accused of doing the shooting.

Burse has been charged with drug trafficking, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and reckless driving.
