IRVINE, Ky. (LEX 18) — UK football kicks off a new season at Kroger Field on Saturday, and there are some exciting new, local options for food.

Lexington hot spots like Bourbon n' Toulouse, Athenian Grill and Atomic Ramen are coming to True Blue fans' concession stands.

There's also a restaurant from a smaller central Kentucky town that's setting up shop at the stadium.

The final hours are ticking down until the biggest game in "House of Cue" history.

"I've smoked 5 cases of wings in the last three days. I've smoked 6 cases of chicken in the last three days," said James Borck, the kitchen manager.

The restaurant opened on River Drive in Irvine just two years ago.

From its humble Estill County beginnings, the BBQ joint started making waves in Lexington this past spring during UK baseball season.

"We've seen so many people come from baseball, that would just come in here," said MacKenzie Angel, the house manager.

On Saturday, and for seven more UK home games, a restaurant located in a county with fewer than 20,000 people will be among the more than 60,000 at Kroger Field.

"It's kind of like a dream come true," said Borck.

There's also a stand that will be at every EKU home football game this season.

The stand was set up at the top of the bleachers at a packed Roy Kidd Stadium as the Colonels kicked off their season.

"Now it seems like we're everywhere. Richmond, Lexington, Irvine because we're going to Kicking it on the Creek. So we're everywhere," said Angel.

There will be two "House of Cue" concession stands at Kroger Field on Saturday.

The hope in the future is to see UK fans finding more reasons to stop in Irvine.
