Valentine's Day started very cold to say the least. Lexington dipped to 15° this morning. It was the coldest reading of the year so far, and the coldest since November 13th when the mercury dropped to 12°. It has been nice to see the sun again, but it hasn't helped warm us up. Snuggle with your sweetheart tonight because it will turn frigid once again with temperatures back into the teens.
This deep chill won't stick around too much longer. Temperatures will bounce back nicely with seasonal highs in the mid 40s tomorrow, pushing 50° by Sunday. It gets even warmer next early next week. Also enjoy the sunshine while it's here the next couple of days. Our next round of widespread rain will arrive late Monday and exit by Wednesday. After the rain, it turns chilly again.
