RICHMOND, Ky. (LEX 18) — Volunteers with Hannah’s Care Packages gathered on Sunday to stuff 50 cloth bags with goodies for parents with children in the hospital this holiday season.
They’ll be hand-delivered on Christmas Eve to families at the University of Kentucky’s Children’s Hospital and Baptist Health Hospital.
Inside, parents will find an array of items, including toothpaste, blankets and microwaveable food.
“It's those little things you don't think about, but when you're rushed to the hospital and you don't have those things, how much you really would like to have them,” said Jessica Ball, Hannah’s Care Packages founder.
Hannah’s Care Packages was founded in 2015 and has delivered care packages to more than 1,000 families.
The nonprofit is made possible entirely by donations, which can be made by visiting their website.
