City's Fourth of July Festival continues today

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)- — Lexington's Fourth of July festival continues after rain cancelled Wednesday night's patriotic concert.

Events kick off with the Bluegrass 10,000 Footrace in downtown Lexington. Immediately following the race, there will be a downtown street festival with vendors, food and entertainment, a parade and, of course, fireworks beginning at 10 p.m.

Thursday, July 4

7:30am – 10:00am: Bluegrass 10,000 Footrace, Downtown

9:00am – 6:00pm: Downtown Street Festival (includes arts/crafts vendors, entertainment, concessions), Entertainment Sites include Lower Courthouse Plaza, Phoenix Park, Corner of Mill and Main Streets, Fifth Third Bank Pavilion

11:00am: Reading of the Declaration of Independence, Main Street

2:00pm: Independence Day Parade, Main Street

10:00pm: Fireworks, R.J. Corman Railyard
