It’s a nice summer morning with some temperatures running a few degrees behind while some are a few warmer than 24 hours ago. Temperatures are cooler up north, thanks to a late-week cold front. The front also allowed the dew point temperature to drop, so things have been feeling better outside. We will sit warm and comfortable for a bit, but summer looks to hang around.
Despite the heat sticking around, things have felt much better outside. Humidity has been cut thanks to a well-timed cold front during the final push of the work week. So now, we get to enjoy the benefits of the drier air in place. Heat will still build, and we will routinely be in the upper 80s or low 90s for the weekend, and the week upcoming. Humidity will eventually make a return. In fact, on Tuesday, as the humidity increases, heat index values will top out near 100 degrees. Mostly sunny days will stay through the weekend. Clouds will build out ahead of the next storm system by Monday. Expect active weather midweek. Even with the clouds and rain, we’re still expecting some of the hottest weather of the year this week, so plan accordingly.
