Fayette County Public Schools offering free meals for kids through the summer

FAYETTE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Fayette County Public Schools, God's Pantry Food Bank, and Employment Solutions are taking part in the "Kids Eat" Summer Food Service Program.

This federal USDA program, which helps fill the nutrition gap when school is out, provides free meals for all children age 18 and younger.

Meals are available on a first-come, first-served basis at designated locations, dates, and times regardless of where children live or attend school.

Pick-up for the spring meal service will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays through May 27, excluding Memorial Day (three days of meals will be served on 5/27). There will be no service on June 1 or June 3, and the summer meal service begins Monday, June 8.
