Our final stop on our LEX18 Summer Reads Tour, took us to the Scott County Public Library, where we had a blast launching rockets to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo Moon Landing. The children made their own straw and paper rockets to launch as part of the Guinness World Records, for the number of rockets launched in a single day! Meteorologist Jill Szwed read an adorable book about the moon to the children and answered questions about science. The Scott County Public Library’s summer reading program runs through August 9th and ends with a pool party at the Suffoletta Water Park, for all reading participants!
