WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A construction company had to rebuild a road after rain stranded them when a culvert washed out.

According to Wolfe County Emergency Management, Good One Construction Company was building access roads for AEP to install transmission lines when heavy rains washed out a culvert on Athe Branch Road in Lee City.

The crews had to build a road to get their equipment out of the area. Truck drivers from Hinkle Contracting also brought in stones to help the construction crew to cross high water.

Eight people in total were stranded. Thankfully no one was injured and all equipment successfully made it back out.
