FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (Mountain Top News) - — UPDATE: Mountain Top News is reporting that the man who allegedly fell into the Big Sandy River was found safe.

Crews are searching the river for a man who allegedly fell into the Big Sandy River.

Fish & Wildlife boats are out near the Harold Bridge in Floyd County. According to an eyewitness at a local homeless camp, 20-year-old Tony Wright went into the water and never emerged. Crews are combing the river for any sign of Wright.

Floyd County Emergency Management is asking for the public's help. If you know the whereabouts of Wright, in the hopes that he swam safely down river, call law enforcement.
