PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police were investigating a murder that happened in Pike County on Saturday.
The shooting happened around 8 p.m. on Saturday. Troopers and detectives responded to the scene and found one person shot in the city park area near the flood wall.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has been identified as 44-year-old Adrian Smith, from Cleveland, West Virginia.
