(LEX 18)– In addition to the big voter turnout, there is a lot of social media buzz surrounding the midterm election.

It can be hard to keep up with the rush of posts we are seeing on social media. The hashtags #VoteToday and #GoVote are trending on Twitter. The biggest overall message people are putting on social media is to go vote.

Amy McGrath, who is a candidate in the Sixth Congressional District race, tweeted about voting this morning.

Congressman Andy Barr, who is another candidate for the Sixth Congressional District race Tweeted encouraging people to vote and reminding them there is plenty of time left.

There’s a high volume of posts from people and media companies across the country about the Barr and McGrath race. Politico tweeted about the race.

CNN’s Senior Political Analyst David Gergen posted a Tweet naming McGrath as one of the three most potential victories that would signal a blue wave if she were to win.

Washington Post Political Reporter and NBC Analyst Robert Costa tweeted that GOP insiders tell him that Andy Barr is the one to watch early.

BBC Host Andrew Neil tweeted that his eyes will be on Kentucky’s Sixth Congressional District.

Social media shows that people across the country and across the Commonwealth will be anxiously watching as the results start rolling in.
