(LEX 18)– In addition to the big voter turnout, there is a lot of social media buzz surrounding the midterm election.
It can be hard to keep up with the rush of posts we are seeing on social media. The hashtags #VoteToday and #GoVote are trending on Twitter. The biggest overall message people are putting on social media is to go vote.
Amy McGrath, who is a candidate in the Sixth Congressional District race, tweeted about voting this morning.

Heading out to lunch? Use that time to cast your ballot in today’s election. I can’t win without your support, and your vote. There’s still plenty of time, so find your polling location and make your voice heard! #KY06 https://t.co/deFndZbT86 pic.twitter.com/KRimOTboCJ

There’s a high volume of posts from people and media companies across the country about the Barr and McGrath race. Politico tweeted about the race.
When the first polls close at 6 p.m. ET, we’ll be watching if Democrat Amy McGrath will manage to unseat GOP Rep. Andy Barr in Kentucky’s 6th District. This could be an early predictor for the balance of the House. https://t.co/uyTEJqa0KP pic.twitter.com/5FYEnALm63

CNN’s Senior Political Analyst David Gergen posted a Tweet naming McGrath as one of the three most potential victories that would signal a blue wave if she were to win.
Today, I’m watching @McCreadyForNC, @danielfeehan @AmyMcGrathKY closely. Their victories would not only signal a blue wave. They would also be a sign we are electing veterans and leaders who can and will put country over party. Pls join as we discuss these midterms @KateBolduan

Washington Post Political Reporter and NBC Analyst Robert Costa tweeted that GOP insiders tell him that Andy Barr is the one to watch early.
My go to GOP source for election night, who is plugged in w/ the leadership, says the candidates to watch early are Andy Barr KY and Comstock VA.
Adds that internals for most GOP Sen campaigns over weekend were solid, esp for Braun in Ind. But @clairecmc remains tough to beat.
