According to Adrian Wojnarowski the Miami Heat had interest in Cousins, but several Lakers players -- including Anthony Davis -- helped convince him on joining LA.
Cousins averaged 16.3 points and 8.2 rebounds over the course of his 30 games with the Warriors last season.
Cousins had been previously teamed up with Anthony Davis in New Orleans, but never had the chance to showcase what they could do together after Cousins suffered an injury.
Also signing with the Lakers on Saturday was another former Wildcat, Rajon Rondo who signed a two-year deal.
