(TMZ) — "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" star Denise Nickerson has died after suffering a severe stroke, according to TMZ.
Nickerson played Violet Beauregarde in the 1971 film alongside the late Geme Wilder. Nickerson suffered a stroke in 2018 and was placed in rehab as she recovered from her injuries. She had been on life support in ICU since earlier in the week.
Her family posted a message to social media saying simply, "She's gone." She was 62-years-old.
