(LEX 18) — A local group is asking for help after they say a dog was hurt when he was thrown from a car.
Paws 4 the Cause has been caring for Luka after the incident, which left him with a broken femur and several cuts.
The group picked Luka up from Friends of the Tri-County Albany Kentucky Animal Shelter, so that their vet could care for him. Paws for the Cause said now Luka is on the road to recovery.
"Give him a couple months and he will pack on a few pounds, and have a fully healed leg, and he should go on and live a 100 percent happy healthy life, with who whoever is fortunate to have him as their forever home," said Dr. Kevin Fuller with the Central Kentucky Veterinary Center.
