Dry beginning and end of the week

Rain and storms on the rise Tuesday night.

Today was a good day to do some cooking or starting binging the next show in your Netflix queue. Showers continued to spiral through the Bluegrass as an upper-level low passed overhead. This set up has also kept us chilly with temperatures only in the 40s this afternoon. Showers will end this evening, then skies will clear overnight. Areas of fog will develop and could be dense in valley locations.

We will swing back into spring through the final days of April. After the foggy start, sunshine takes over tomorrow with highs back in the mid 60s. Most of Tuesday is looking good, just with a few more clouds. Rain and storms will be on the rise beginning Tuesday night and continue through Thursday. The most widespread coverage will come on Wednesday, and a some strong storms are possible. The whole pattern looks to turn around heading into May. A ridge will build across the eastern U.S., which means warmer temperatures and dry conditions for Friday and Saturday. It would have been perfect weather for Oaks and Derby.
