I won’t lie and say that I don’t appreciate a box of chocolates or an adorable teddy bear for Valentine’s Day, but if I’m being honest? Those kinds of gifts are a bit too traditional for my taste.
Personally, I’m more of a heart-shaped pizza and pickle bouquet kind of girl. I also won’t pass up giving myself a treat, especially when it comes in the form of coffee and doughnuts.
If you have a Dunkin’ near you, consider yourself lucky because the chain’s new Valentine’s Day menu is full of themed drinks and treats now through February. The choices include two new drinks and the return of a pair of doughnuts that are also perfect for a celebration of love.
First up, the new Pink Velvet Signature Latte comes hot or iced and features espresso with red velvet cake flavor, topped with whipped cream, a mocha drizzle and hot chocolate powder. Of course, just like the name suggests, it’s also pink!
Dunkin’ also added a Pink Velvet Macchiato to the Valentine’s Day menu, which combines espresso with red velvet cake flavor and hints of cream cheese icing. When served iced, it creates a colorful pink-layered look!
If that’s not enough, Dunkin’ is also bringing back its Brownie Batter Donut, a heart-shaped doughnut filled with rich, chocolatey brownie batter-flavored buttercream filling and frosted with chocolate icing, and its Cupid’s Choice Donut, which is a heart-shaped pastry filled with Bavarian cream and frosted with strawberry-flavored icing. Both are topped with Bling Sprinkles for extra sparkle.
If you don’t have a Dunkin’ near you, but do have a Krispy Kreme, that bakery chain’s Conversation Hearts Doughnuts are also back, now through Feb. 14. The special Valentine’s Day doughnuts, which were new last year, have 24 sayings, like “so extra”, “kiss me” and “say yes.” They each feature one of four fillings: cake batter, strawberries and cream, original cream or chocolate cream.
This year, you can even order them in a gift box made to resemble a box of candy hearts for an extra sweet surprise for your Valentine!
What could say “I love you” better than some pink coffee and heart-shaped doughnuts?
