MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — While storms that brought strong winds moved across the area Saturday, Eastern Kentucky University in Madison County sustained damage.

EKU officials sent out a release saying that several trees were blown over on campus and at White Hall, just north of Richmond.

The university reports that the main structure at White Hall has serious roof damage, while some other property damage took place on campus.

LEX 18 reporter Eleanor Buckley witnessed a tree that had fallen on top of a car being cleaned up.

According to EKU officials, no injuries were reported.

Officials say students will not be impacted as they return from winter break next week.
