Fair Weather for Cats Home Opener

Looking good for Labor Day Weekend

and last updated

Things are shaping up nicely for a summer feel for Labor Day Weekend. Temperatures are running above normal in the middle to upper 80s. The dew point temperature has also made its way back into the upper 60s meaning it’s humid again outside. Temperatures are up 5-10 degrees.

As we move into Labor Day Weekend, things stay summery with days like today. Thanks to a stalled front, a stray shower or thundershower is not out of the question. Regardless, partly cloudy and warm will be the norm this weekend. Stay hydrated if heading out to tailgate this weekend at UK for the first home game. During the *mostly quiet* weekend here, all eyes are on Dorian, now a Major Hurricane which continues to move west towards the Bahamas and eventually Florida. All sign and current models are showing strengthening as it traverses through warm waters as it nears Florida’s east coast. Back home, expect a quiet night with warm and humid conditions. Tomorrow will be hot and humid as well. The entire Labor Day Weekend will feel like summer. Next week, some changes bring cooler and more comfortable air towards the end of the work week.
