LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police took a convicted felon into custody late Wednesday night after an hourslong standoff on the city's far northeast side.
Authorities said 40-year-old David Carlin II was the subject of a narcotics and firearms investigation and now faces a raft of charges.
Police attempted to execute a search warrant at a home on Rye Lane when Carlin refused to leave the residence.

Police said they found two handguns and two rifles in the home.
Police charged Carlin with four counts of possession of a firearm by a felon and multiple counts of failure to appear in court.
Carlin was being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.
