Buckle up! The first strong cold front of the fall is coming. We will enjoy another warm fall day with highs in the lower 80s. An Arctic front attached to a major early season winter storm will march through the Bluegrass tonight. Scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder will accompany the front. Activity will quickly push east and wind down Saturday morning. Skies will clear through the remainder of the day.
Where this front is lack in rainfall, it will make up for in a dramatic temperature drop. Temperatures will crash overnight and settle into the 40s. Highs will struggle to reach 60° Saturday afternoon. True Blue fans, be prepared for a brisk evening at Kroger Field. Patchy front will be possible into Sunday morning as the chilly air mass continues to seep southward. Temperatures will rebound into the mid 60s with plenty of sunshine to end the weekend.
