The rain has been non-stop today and it has lead to flooding concerns. A Flash Flood Watch is now in effect through late tonight. Widespread rainfall amounts of 1"-3" have been reported. The ground is becoming saturated and small waterways are swollen.
There will be a brief lull in the steady rain. More rain along with a few gusty storms will fire up as the cold front approaches this evening. Along with 30+ mph wind gust there will be additional heavy rainfall that could lead to flash flooding. Be mindful of water that is ponding on the roads. Never drive through a flooded area. The rain will start tapering off after midnight.
