FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Authorities are investigating after a husband and wife died Wednesday night in an apparent murder-suicide in Frankfort that also left their teenage daughter hospitalized.

Officials said police responded about 5:45 to a domestic violence complaint on Green Wilson Road.

Franklin County Sheriff's deputies found 51-year-old Larry Hollon and 54-year-old Donna Hollon with gunshot wounds.

Larry Hollon was pronounced dead at the scene. Donna Hollon was taken to an area hospital, where she later was pronounced dead.

Police said they believe Larry Hollon shot his wife before turning the gun on himself.

Authorities said the couple's 18-year-old daughter also was hospitalized with minor injuries.

The violence shocked neighbors.

"It's something that you don't expect and you really don't know what to do or what to think about it," said neighbor Jessie Couch. "You hear about these things, but it's a little close to home. It's just shocking."

Kentucky State Police continue to investigate the crime and ask anyone with information to call authorities.
