FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Frankfort Police are investigating a possible DUI crash that happened in front of the State Capitol building.
On Saturday afternoon, dispatch received a call about a possibly drunk person driving erratically, then they received calls a few minutes later about a collision on Capitol Avenue.
Police said the driver of a Ford Edge crashed into the median.
The driver had to be cut from the SUV and taken to the hospital and the SUV had serious damage.
Police do believe the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and they said that man will likely be cited.
