GEORGETOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Georgetown police officer was injured Wednesday afternoon while searching for a suspect.
According to police, officers were serving a search warrant at a local apartment complex as part of an investigation into a wanted parole violator. Officer Joey Valdez received serious lacerations to his arm from a broken window.
Officer Valdez was transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital and is expected to be okay. Georgetown police credit his fellows officers with stopping the bleeding and keeping Valdez sade.
