Yes, it's been hot the past two days but its has been nice to not have all that humidity hanging around. Today was a pretty perfect summer day if you ask me. That's all about to change. Sunday will be a steamy one with highs near 90° again, but it will feel more 95°. It will remain mostly dry, outside of pop-up storm during the heat of the day. We'll carry the hot and muggy conditions over into the start of the work week.
Meanwhile in the Gulf, Barry made landfall around mid-day as a Category 1 hurricane. The storm will continue as it moves farther inland, but the heavy rain and flooding threats will continue through the end of the weekend as Barry slowly moves through the Lower Mississippi River Valley. Our rain and storm chances will be on the rise as the remnants move into the Ohio Valley mid-week. It's not looking great for the start of the Barbasol Championship with rain and storms likely on Wednesday. The unsettled weather will clear up for the later rounds but will be replaced by some intense heat.
