Golden Alert canceled for Lexington woman with dementia

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police have canceled a Golden Alert for a previously missing 82-year-old woman.

Police reported that Mary Cloyd left her home in the Woodhill neighborhood around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. She was supposed to drive to a home off of Georgetown Street, but she never showed up.

According to family members, Cloyd has dementia. Police said she may have been driving a blue/gray 2006 Buick LaCrosse with Kentucky plate 719 AFX.

The Golden Alert for Cloyd was canceled on Sunday morning after she was found safe, according to officials.
