Gradually feeling more like winter

Chillier end to the week before an Arctic blast.

A cold front will quickly shut down the lingering showers and today's near-record warmth. The back half of the week will remain dry and feel a bit more like January. We will see sunshine once again tomorrow with a high in the mid 40s.

The pattern revs up to start the weekend. Another fast-moving system on Saturday will pack more of a punch. Temperatures may be just cold enough for rain and snow showers early Saturday morning. Then things transition to widespread rain. Much colder air is waiting on the other side. A blast of Arctic air will arrive by the end of the weekend. And this isn't going to just be a day of cold then we're back to our "warm winter" ways. High temperatures early next week will struggle to climb above the freezing mark. Things will remain fairly seasonal through the end of the next week.
