No matter what Punxsutawney Phil predicts tomorrow, these early days of February will feel like spring! A big time warm up begins tomorrow with highs climbing into the upper 50s. Plus sunshine returns! Temperatures will remain unseasonably warm through mid-week.
The set up through the first half of the upcoming week not only opens to door to warmth, but also Gulf moisture. Clouds will increase Monday and showers will quickly follow into Tuesday morning. Rounds of rain with some thunder will continue into Thursday. Equally as cold air will be waiting on the other side of this amplified set up. It will be back to reality once the rain exits on Thursday; highs will drop back into the upper 30s and lower 40s. There is also the potential for a little light snow to start the weekend.
