It was more about the heat than the humidity today. Yes, it was very warm with temperatures in the upper 80s to near 90°, but the air was still relatively "dry." You know given the time of year this delightful stretch of low humidity can't sustain itself. The gradual surge of heat and humidity will continue over the coming days. While humidity levels will remain manageable tomorrow, you will begin to notice a little extra heft to the air. Meanwhile, temperatures will max out near 90° around the area. Welcome back to July!
Our string of dry days will run through Monday. A cold front will bring the potential for scattered storms and locally heavy rainfall during the middle of next week. Once the storms exit we will get a small break from the muggies and temperatures will stabilize near normal in the mid 80s.
