I keep finding myself humming the song "Something's Coming" from West Side Story. It must be because a change in the weather is coming for the weekend. Most of the day will be dry for us, but to our south a slow-moving upper level low will bring more heavy rain. Widespread rain moves in tonight. Saturday won't be a washout, but it will be quite soggy. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are possible with 1" to 2" of rain by Sunday morning. We'll have to keep an eye out for localized flash flooding.
The rain will quickly wrap up Sunday morning. We will manage to see some sunshine before the end of the weekend. Next week will bring a pre-Halloween warm up with temperatures climbing close to 70° by Tuesday. There will also been a stormy side to the Halloween forecast. We are watching for the potential of another strong system to bring rain and storms followed by a chill to close out October.
