JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Some local high school golfers got to learn from the pros this weekend at the Barbasol Championship.

The High Performance Golf Academy is also located at Keene Trace Golf Club, where a lot of young players take lessons.

Golfers from area high schools tell us it's been really cool to see professionals on the very same course they usually play on.

“A lot of attitude. Just watching how they are mentally, how they compose themselves, that's kind of what I'm trying to take away from golf is keeping cool calm and collected on the course,” said LCA Golfer Andrew Marrs.

“There's a huge crowd out here it's awesome, you can just driving in you see mobs of people following Duffner and all those big name players out there,” said Lafayette High School golfer Henry Lane.

The players said it's been cool to see their club transform into a host for the PGA tour.
