LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — The former director of a Louisville-area AIDS charity is charged with wire fraud in an embezzlement scheme that targeted his former employer.

Earlier this week, federal authorities filed the charge against Aaron Guldenscuh-Gatten.

The charge accuses of him of using AIDS Interfaith Ministries of Kentuckiana to pay his personal expenses while he was employed as executive director.

He is also accused of writing cold checks to the nonprofit, in order to both inflate their books and float himself a loan.

He is scheduled to appear in court on February 3.
