LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — In Lexington on Saturday, a house full of animals caught fire.
The fire department said that it happened just after 5 p.m. on Liberty Road.
They said they believe it started in the air conditioning unit. Animal Control was also called to the house to help assist.
LEX 18 was told that there were 20 dogs living in the house at the time of the blaze and they all made it out safely.
But, the family cat did not survive the flames.
