It doesn't get any better this for August! There was a little heat but barely any humidity today. An awesome summer day will turn into a great summer night with clear skies and temperatures in the lower 60s. We will turn up the heat a little more tomorrow with highs near 90° but the humidity will stay in check for another day.
We won't be able to hold off the muggies forever. Humidity levels are on the way back up as the heat blazes next week. Intense heat that has been bottled up across the southern tier of the US will spread into the Commonwealth. We will string together a number of days with highs in the 90s. This hot and humid combination means the heat index will be near 100°. The forecast is certainly reminding us the summer isn't over quite just yet.
