Rain and storms overnight were the result of the first of two cold fronts. Showers dropped heavy rain and produced vivid lightning shows. The storms moved out early this morning and since then, things have been nice and quiet. Temperatures have been down a few degrees and it’s a little more comfortable outside.

The second of two cold fronts will move in for the end of the week, and we will certainly feel the effects. Thursday will be the “bridge in the gap” between storm systems and will remain mostly dry. Expect hot afternoon temperatures with slightly humid conditions. Clouds will build, but the rain will hold off until the evening. Showers and storms will move in again overnight going into Friday morning. You can expect heavy rain, lightning, and a few strong wind gusts as the storms cross. The main effect will be the cooler air behind the front, which will make things very comfortable for the beginning of the weekend. Temperatures will rebound for the beginning of next week.
