Capping off the weekend with a typical September day - cool start, mild finish. We'll see highs in the lower 80s for the Bluegrass, mid 80s down south. Skies will become partly sunny into the afternoon as a warm front nudges towards the Commonwealth.
It's not time to put your shorts away just yet. After a couple of cooler days the pattern will flip into the new work week. A ridge will set up across the Southeast sending heat and the muggies back to the Bluegrass. Highs will be 10° to 15° above-normal, registering in the low to mid 90s. This summery pattern will keep us rather dry through the week. An isolated storm could pop-up but nothing looks to be too organized.
