LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — Authorities in Alaska are searching for an attorney from Kentucky who has gone missing in the wilderness.

Officials said 76-year-old Bill Hartlage of Louisville was reported missing last week when he failed to return from a fly fishing trip.

Hartlage last was seen in the Willow Creek State Recreational Area.

An initial search did not reveal any additional information about Hartlage's possible whereabouts.

Hartlage spent much of his career as a defense attorney in Bardstown and Louisville.

State troopers in Alaska have posted a description of Hartlage, asking visitors to the area to be on the lookout.
