Kentucky wins first road test against MTSU

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Amanda Paschal scored a career high 16 points and Sabrina Haines added 12 as the 13th-ranked Kentucky women's basketball team won at Middle Tennessee 67-52 on Sunday afternoon.

Ogechi Anyagaligbo had 10 points and a team-high seven rebounds for Kentucky. Sophomore standout Rhyne Howard scored nine points for the Cats, who won for the second time in as many chances this season.

Kentucky hit 25 of 64 (39.1 percent) from the floor, including seven of 21 (33.3 percent) from behind the arc. Middle Tennessee made 19 of 50 (38 percent) from the field, including just one of 12 (8.3 percent) from behind the arc. Kentucky forced 20 Middle Tennessee turnovers, and scored 23 points off those miscues. The Cats turned the ball over 16 times and the Blue Raiders got 13 points off those mistakes.

Kentucky returns home on Wednesday to face Stetson at Memorial Coliseum. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and the game can be heard on SEC Network Plus.
