EMINENCE, Ky. (WAVE 3) — A safe end to the search for a kidnapped Henry County woman.

Eminence Police say Melinda Whitehouse and her mother were kidnapped by Terry Whitehouse from a home on Thursday and a man was found dead in that same home during a welfare check by police.

Terry Whitehouse had been released from the Shelby County Detention Center the day before after being arrested on domestic violence charges.

Investigators say after releasing his mother-in-law, Terry Whitehouse continued to hold his wife against her will.

WAVE confirms that a short time ago, Melinda Whitehouse was found safe in Mt. Eden area of Shelby County.

Terry Whitehouse was arrested off Back Creek Road, also in the Mt. Eden area.
