MASON, Ohio. — Kings Island is offering free admission to teachers, first responders and healthcare professionals on select days in August.
The 364-acre amusement park just announced that Community Appreciation Days kicks off this weekend with free admission for teachers as the new school year approaches. First responders (8/9-11) and Healthcare professionals (8/16-18) also will receive free admission on following weekends.
August 2-4: Teacher Appreciation Weekend
To celebrate the start of a new school year, Kings Island is offering free admission to educators August 2-4. Educators who qualify for the free admission ticket include teachers, faculty and staff. A valid school employee ID, or a valid teaching license with a photo ID, must be presented at Kings Island to take advantage of this offer.
August 9-11: First Responders Days
Kings Island is honoring those who protect our community August 9-11 by offering free admission to all active fire, police and safety personnel. A valid fire and police photo ID must be presented at Kings Island to take advantage of the public safety appreciation offer. Fire and police badges and identification cards are accepted only if accompanied by a photo ID. As all ID must reference specific fire or police duty, government-only issued IDs will not be accepted. Fire, police and safety personnel who quality for free admission include firefighters, EMTs, uniformed police officers, state troopers, border patrol agents, investigators, evidence technicians, firearms examiners, crime lab technicians, 911 dispatchers, correction officers, hand writing examiners, intelligence analysts and investigative assistants.
August 16-18: Healthcare Professionals Days
Kings Island is honoring those who work in the healthcare industry by offering free admission to healthcare professionals August 16-18. A valid healthcare ID must be presented at Kings Island to take advantage of the Healthcare Professionals offer. Some of the healthcare professionals who qualify for free admission include surgeons, physicians, therapists, nurses, certified nursing assistants, pharmacists, optometrists, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, dietitians and nutritionists, speech-language pathologists, family practitioners, phlebotomists, veterinary technologists, cardiovascular technologists, anesthesiologists, chiropractors, psychiatrists, obstetricians, pediatricians, nurse’s aides, medical aides and more.
