MADISON COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal collision east of Bybee.
The crash happened on Irvine Road around 1:50 p.m.
A Toyota Highlander was trying to turn left from Irvine Road into a driveway when troopers say it hit a Toyota Camry. The passenger in the Camry, an adult female, died at the scene. She has been identified as 56-year-old Donna Marcum.
The driver, Farris Marcum, was taken to UK Hospital. We do not know the extent of his injuries.
The driver of the Highlander, 35-year-old Kimberly Isaacs, was not transported.
Troopers say that alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. They say that the people in the Camry were not wearing seatbelts.
The road has reopened.
