LARUE, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police say that a third body has been found in the Larue County death investigation.
They say that detectives are currently investigating the death as a "separate but related incident."
The original investigation happened on River Road Monday morning. Police responded to a call of shots-fired and found a mobile home still smoldering.
Police said that they found one person inside the home and a woman's body in a nearby car.
Right now, police are not saying how they died. The names of the victims are being withheld until next of kin is notified. Autopsies will be performed.
KSP said that the investigation led detectives to a second home on Ashby Lane in Jefferson County where a "second scene is being processed."
