LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Laurel County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a shooting that left one man dead.
Deputies were called to a home off Old KY 30 about 5 miles north of London shortly before 1:30a.m.
Reportedly once deputies and detectives arrived, they learned one man had been shot in the chest with a pistol.
The victim was identified as Michael Bailey, 28, of East Bernstadt.
Four people at the home where this happened were arrested.
The arrested individuals were identified as:
· Douglas Earl Bailey age 44 of East Bernstadt charged with assault – first-degree – domestic violence; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
· Crystal Nicole Johnson age 38 of London charged with possession of firearm by a convicted felon.
· James Brian Hart age 46 of East Bernstadt charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
· Dewain N. Bailey age 50 of East Bernstadt charged with public intoxication – controlled substances; disorderly conduct – second-degree.-This individual admitted taking meth prior to the shooting complaint.
All four were taken to the Laurel County Detention Center. Investigators said more charges are expected.
