Lexington church members hand out toys during annual toy parade

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Lexington church is taking action to spread joy to children this holiday season.

The Lima Drive SDA Church held their second annual toy parade on Saturday.

People marched from Race Street to Duncan Park, knocking on doors and handing out toys to kids.

The event finished up with a concert at Duncan Park and some winter treats including hot chocolate.

The church has been collecting toys for two months, and they no have almost $7,000 worth of gifts.

Next week, church members will hand out Christmas gifts for students at Booker T. Washington and Harrison Elementary Schools.
