LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Lexington woman needs your help to be the 2019 Ms. Health and Fitness.
Jeuarlet McClanahan is a 46-year-old mother, wife, and aerialist. She trains aerial silks and aerial rope at Lexington's Sora Aerial Arts. She started her aerial silks training when she was 40-years-old.
"Don't be afraid to try something new and exciting. Life is short - Be the best version of yourself that you can be," said McClanahan.
McClanahan needs votes to advance to the semi-finals in the Ms. Health and Fitness competition. If she wins, she will receive a two-page spread in Muscle & Fitness Hers magazine. She will also win $20,000, which she will donate to local charities she is affiliated with including our local Make a Wish Foundation, Refuge For Women, and Sunrise Children's Services.
She tells LEX 18 that she would like to win because she wants to encourage other women her age and older, and she wants to represent a different kind of fitness, aerial arts.
There are a few hours left in this round to vote for McClanahan. You can vote for her, here.
You can vote for free once a day, with a Facebook login, or you can purchase Warrior Votes to benefit the Home for Wounded Warriors Foundation.
