LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Lexington Police Department put out a hoax alert Friday night about a social media post saying there was a threat at area Walmarts.
They say that at this time, it appears the messages are a part of a nationwide hoax.
Lexington Police say that they do not have any reason to believe the threats are credible.
The post vaguely claimed that the "news" reported that there was a threat. LEX 18 did not report about a threat at area Walmarts.
