LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police were investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital.

Police said they were called to the 300 block of Chestnut Street around 4:40 p.m. on Sunday.

Reportedly, officers found one person with a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to UK Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

This marks the third shooting in Lexington in less than 24 hours.

The first happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, when police say someone shot into a home on Elverton Road near Russell Cave Road.

A man who lives there was hit by a bullet. He was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The second took place around 2:30 Sunday morning near the corner of Jersey and Winslow Streets.

The victim showed up at the hospital a short time after with serious injuries.

No arrests have been made.

Police have not released any suspect information in any of these cases.
